Hi Randi
Looking at starting Storis 1950.

Any specific details for this ship?
* Nautical Miles or Pat log miles as first pref?
* Course
XXX No need to click events button.
* Ice mentions in events

Nautical Miles are the first pref.
If that column is not filled in then Patent log if available.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the rest.

As usual: Date, Distance (Nautical Miles), Course, Locations, Ice, Sailing Info

I've just logged in after a long rest of my eyes. I've been jumping through the Storis pages and I don't know if they're going far enough north to find any ice. I had that with the Rush. They stayed mainly south of Nome, and most of their time seemed to be spent ferrying teachers, doctors, nurses and so on around various communities in the Aleutians, the Panhandle and places south of Nome.

Stuart, I suggest you use the NARA link (https://catalog.archives.gov/id/38547952) and jump through the pages. You will see they spend a lot of time in ports, only six weather entries per day. If they do get far enough for ice then, by all means, we need to transcribe it. My eyes aren't quite up to it yet, though. Sorry.

When I was doing the ships on my own, I would use this link to figure out just when they left a US port for the north so I wasn't wasting time downloading pages that had no relevance.

Thanks Michael.
PM me when your eyes are better and I will contact you then if needed.

If any other ship is preferred then let me know now.

You may find ice. I see they start on Jan 1 in Kodiak, so you can get ice that far south. They end up in Juneau at the end of Dec. It should be quick to transcribe, they spend a lot of time in port.  :)
