Nope - 50 years from now, I'll probably still be working on Old Weather !

OK, I will try... (add e)

Don't you think
it's pretty weird
for a beagle
to have a beard?

September is now done (took longer than expected - lot of sea ice again!)

When uploading files, would it be OK to compress all the XML files for, say a month, into a ZIP file and upload that instead?
I think it would save time.

Or maybe just exempt the date from "Clear Data"?

If you accidentally hit "Clear Data" instead of "Write Data", there is a way to recover!

Hit Ctrl+Z (Undo) several times - each time, some of your data will reappear.
In my case, I had to hit it six times to recover the events, locations, courses and date from a weather page.

It admittedly is a steep learning curve, but the more I use it the better I like it!

I agree completely!

Old Weather of the transcribers, by the transcribers, for the transcribers, shall not perish from the earth

Hunted down all the ice in May 1954 (quite a lot!).
I'll wait until Friday before reserving or starting any more, as it's a rather busy week for me.

Got a couple 504s when trying to access the forum at 20:00 UTC.
It seems to be better now.

Burton Island, May 17th 1954

In the location at the top, "Cape Prince of Wales" has been hilariously misspelled.
