Unalga's latest log keeper tends to write in hard-to-read fancy script way too often for my tastes.
For example:
http://oldweather.s3.amazonaws.com/ow3/final/Unalga//Volumes/Seagate%20Backup%20Plus%20Drive/Arfon-JPEGS/RG26/UNALGA//b2580/b2580_150_0.jpg

I had to use the Remarks page to figure out the noon location - it's Gastineau Channel, not Goatman Channel, which is what I initially read!

Not a misread per se, but just now I somehow managed to transcribe "Fraser Reach" as "Frasher Rich", despite having typed it correctly everywhere else on the page, and having three maps open with the spelling visible!

When I was transcribing a log page the other day I came across what looked like "one half of AA battery unused" and I wondered if they even had AA batteries in 1943. It finally occurred to me that it was "manned" rather than "unused" and they were talking about a different kind of battery.  ;D

A bit off added spice and I could be charged with assault and battery!   ::)

BTW - I saw a Hydrogen atom who was in an accident and had a proton knocked off and who told me she was an ion.

I said 'Are you sure?'  She said 'I'm positive!'   :P ;)

Sorry, all my ancient chemistry lessons started itching.  I closed the browser but couldn't concentrate on anything else.   ;D

Good work Janet!

I remember a whiteboard at work where someone had written "= ∞". After passing it a couple of times I finally erased the = and put in an arrow. His office-mate thanked me! ;D

What is it that you taught, Dean? ;D

I am convinced that Dean taught humour and I am surprised that his students didn't tie and gag him like they did the bard in Asterix comics  ;D ;D ;D

(Just kidding, Dean, I like your puns)

Thanks for the catch Janet! In my hurry to 'bust Craig's chops' I got my particles wrong. ESPECIALLY embarrassing since I taught Science/Math for 38 years!!  :o

Since most of my career was with Grades 5 & 6 I got most of my humour (or lack of it) from the kids.  I guess I just fit in with the 11 year old mind!! ::)

With that, I'll end my 'pun'ishment of you lovely people - I'm off to build with our Habitat for Humanity crew for the day.  ;)
