My daughter wants to contribute...
« on: April 02, 2011, 05:29:45 am »
She's 8 years old and watching over my shoulder as I'm reading the forum.  She's also learning about why her handwriting needs to be neater, especially when I show her some of the wretched examples we read on here.

Anyway, she wants me to tell a joke:

Q: Why did a poodle cross with a chicken?

A: Because they were on a walk.

Gotta love eight year old humor, right?  OK, hopefully nobody wasted their time reading that... back to your transcribing now!

For your daughter - to help with her geography

A lorry broke down travelling between Norway and Sweden

Another lorry stopped and the driver asked if he could help, the first driver said that he thought that he could get the lorry started but he had a load of penguins to get to the zoo in Stockholm, no problem, said the second driver, I'm going to Stockholm, I will take them for you.

Next day the first driver was waiting at traffic lights when the second driver crossed the road in front of him followed by a line of penguins.  Hey, said the first driver, I thought that you were taking the penguins to the zoo.  Yes replied the second, that was yesterday, today we go to the cinema.

Have a nice day

Here's one for her:

Q: How do you cut the sea in half?

A: With a sea-saw!
