I'll start off with this from Avoca

But, farrelly and mutabilitie's first entries in the most beautiful category are also quite readable (post them here too if you want).

I think Avoca's log entries should be given a degree of diifficulty modifier ( a high one) -- There's a lot a of useful data there; useful data is unfortunately lacking in the pages I submitted for Wonganella (for sheer loveliness.)

Eat your hearts out!  ;D

Is the Foxglove really the only other ship careful log keepers?  :o

Nope - all the survey ships were meticulous.  But then, every one of their officers were trained draftsmen whose job was to create accurate charts of the sea floor.  They just applied those good habits to their log books, and their writing is always legible.  But I need to magnify my browser before using the magnifier, as they also tend to keep their writing tiny enough to notate said charts. ;)

I think HMS Fantome is the only one not yet completed.

I'm putting HMS Constance into this contest.  She has the easiest to read handwriting I've seen in a long time.  A lovely ship to use in interim, before taking on my next ship-home.

More from Macedonia.  After 4.5 months of less than stellar handwriting, we're rewarded with this:

The only drawback is that the log keeper and/or copier is prone to mistakes.  He likes to cross things out then write on top of the crossed-out text.  But at least it only took him 4 days to realize that he was writing "September" instead of "October" for the date.

It may be interesting, how American handwriting competes in this category.  ;D

Unalga's officers are lovely - the first chap writes all locations spaced out in C A P I T A L S, second one has very nice handwriting, and the third one makes an effort to keep the shipname he writes legible:
