Yes.  There is a reason why they named the Compass Rose after a flower.

Yes, indeedy.
It would be said as North East byEast.

Here's a pretty picture for further illustration:

Hmm, yes I seen that and was aware what it was but I seen there were a few different ways it may be written. Was just wondering if I was to use a standard approach or if it was as is written

Welcome to the forum, tigrisdea!  I'm really glad someone's asking us questions tonight, it keeps me from getting bored. ;D

Anytime there are that many possible ways to write anything, copy what the log keeper puts down.  Much less stressful, plus more accurate historically.

ADDED: Hi, Bunts.  How are you doing? :)

Oh, you know ... Just the usual: old age and poverty. Thanks for asking.

Ah, the P.C. I think I've got the measure of it now. It's been much better without the virus scan, and reducing the RAM allocation, a touch, has got rid of the stutters. This Forum could threaten the supremacy of a certain software manufacturer's helpdesk.  ;)

I'll remember that when my dinosaur of a laptop starts to stutter; I'm glad we could help! ;D
