Credits, or if you prefer Cobblestones.

I have enough cobblestones to pave a 12 foot wide lane for a bit less than seven miles.  ;)

So how many cobbles to the sq ft?

So how many cobbles to the sq ft?

I used 16 in^2 each, so nine to the square foot.

Ta.

As Climate Prediction is 16th on the BOINC stats page (matches Bobs cobble size  ::) ) we have a lot of Cobble stones to cross to move up the list.

  • Better to do it, than live with the fear of it.

Actually, it's number 13 if you sort by total credit.

The number one is Bitcoin Utopia, which has way more than the rest combined.
I checked the project's website, and they claim it's for a good cause - raising cryptocurrency for other projects - but I have a feeling it's not all sunshine and rainbows there.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid. But I'll stick with the World Community Grid for now - they definitely do things for good causes!

I didn't like Bitcoin Utopia either. I'd rather help other projects directly.
It makes me think of buying something at the supermarket. I suspect that very little of the money paid goes to the producer.

Wow, I got a 66-day CPDN task! Usually they are 6 days or so on my computer.

 :o

Report back here when it's finished.  ;)

I got curious and scanned through the task list in my CPDN account. The longest one I've had to date had a run time of 2.23 million seconds, almost 26 days.

The Clean Energy Project team is working on publicizing their results to-date. They have wrapped up the second phase of the project, and are also making decisions about their future work with World Community Grid.

cpdnboinc: Notice from BOINC
This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://ithaqua.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/

If you see this in BOINC Manager, just ignore it.
The system should be back up this week.
