I don't know how you do it. I can't do anything impressive at all with it!

:( >:(  the snipping tool is not available for my version of Windows 7 (STOMPING FEET NOW) Waaaa!!

Here's a method I borrowed from Jules on Moon Zoo.

If you are not using Windows7 or Vista it's slightly trickier but follow these steps:

When the picture you want to copy is on screen:
    * Take a screen grab by pressing the Print Scrn button usually top right of the keyboard. This copies the screen shot to the clipboard.
    * Paste the screen grab into an imaging program (Paint, Photoshop, anything like that) and crop just the bit you want and resize as needed.
    * Save this picture to your hard disc.

Start with Adjustments. From the drop down menu click Gradient Map and get a bit of colour going.
Then you can adjust the hue and brightness and various other things as well with the other Adjustment tools.
Then try out some of those Filters. Edge Detection/Glowing Edges is a hoot.
There is all sorts of fun to be had in Distort, Liquid Waves especially.
Get on with it.  ;D

Excellent work, cyzaki and jennfurr.
Now, if you want to alter the size of the image for posting here,
put a width value in the [img] like this:

You can also add a height value, which can be used to stretch or squash the image, by doing this:

Make sure you put the spaces in exactly the places shown.

Experiment. The preview button is your friend. ;D
