Ava, from your screen shots one can't tell if you had an active rogue window. To see it you have to scroll down to the very bottom of the web page (not the log page).

Hi Craig,
I've been caught by those windows before - but might have forgotten to look for it in that moment of huge panic. I'm too late to get that screen back now, sadly. Next time something goes 'bung' I'll take more time and see what's really happening -and report that back to everyone. I'm working to a much slower speed than I did with PhII so that keying slip-ups don't up-end everything again.  The real annoyance is not being able to get back into a log page to fix/complete it.  Thanks for your help and interest!
Ava :D

No I mean those rogue windows are not only going to get coal in their Christmas stockings from Santa, but they're going to get low quality coal!
lignite

You might be correct about what Ava is ready to do though ;)

Mad box event today -  tried to put in a weather correction - inadvertantly started up a new box which I didn't see initially as it was directly behind the real box. Closed wrong box, tried to close the real box - result - weird stuff shown in screen capture below. I'm back to work tomorrow and loosing 15 entries in a busy day is just awful....when will this problem be fixed please?   Also I can't get into old pages so if I can't spend 30 mins doing 24 entries, I can't do-a-save-and-return job.  The depth of my frusration is..DEEP.

It's terribly frustrating to lose a lot of work, especially when 12 entries per page would be sufficient. I sympathize with you, Ava. :(

Thanks Craig,
I didn't want to sound to dispirited and put new folk off...but it is miserable to loose that work.   :)

It noticed that the guide says that if you get a rogue entry box then drag it to the correct position to complete the entry. But if you get one when you already have another entry box open you must delete the rogue box immediately before proceeding or you will no longer be able to make entries. The only recourse at the point is to refresh the page (and lose everything you have done) or Save (even though you haven't completed the page). This is a difficult choice when you have spent 20 minutes or so on a page.

Sorry folks. The guide is also a work in progress so there are bound to be things that should be changed/added/deleted.
I will point out this trap as soon as possible.
Thanks Craig.

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was being critical, Caro. This was not intended. I know everyone is trying their best.

No problem! We all need a bit of help here.  ;)

I have not been able to reproduce this interesting feature but I added it to the guide (in italics).
Let's hope the rogues are fixed soon and I can delete that whole section.  ;D

I ought to apologize - I've been moaning all day.. I DO appreciate what the database folks are doing..and everything does take time.  Do keep us updated with their progress.
