11.00 UTC
Intermittent "Sorry something went wrong" messages when loading a new page.
They last for 1 or 2 minutes each time.

No problem submitting transcribed data, or so it appears.

It seems transcribing Yorktown is getting more and more difficult.
Sometimes pages load as usual, but more often than not there are long delays.
Or pages load only partially, e.g. the interface is loaded, but the scan image isn't.

This is happing for some days now, and it seems to be getting worse.
Though that might just be my imagination. :)

  • Better to do it, than live with the fear of it.

Have you had any other Internet connection problems? My router seems to be wearing out - I've had to restart it almost every day recently - and I noticed OW Classic is slower than average compared to other sites I visit.

Or maybe the huge size of the Yorktown, combined with how far you've come on it, means it always takes the system a while to find the oldest page you can still transcribe.

I, too, have noticed that the forum page is sometimes VERY slow to load. I'm not transcribing any ship data, doing ice hunting instead, but just to send or read a PM will sometimes take a minute or so to load. However, that being said, it is seemingly random. My work involves downloading images directly and entering ice data into an Excel spreadsheet, so I use the classic OW only for the forum.

I see the same thing in the forum as Michael.

Ditto; slow load times and the occasional 504 Timeout. It's usually OK, though.

Me too, though I've been putting it down to being in foreign parts.

I've been finding the forum slow too, on and off, over the last few days - I'd assumed it was my computer, so very glad to hear that I'm not alone in having this problem.
