*On the USRCS officers list that I'm checking the names against there's also a Whitney M. Pratt who was 2d Asst Engr at the correct time and seems to have more of a record. Possibly the same person and someone isn't crossing their 't's or has been over enthusiastically crossing 'l's (or it's just a coincidence!). It's definitely written Prall in this log.

and no sign of a Mr. Pratt
