Locked Out.
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:56:33 am »
I tried to log in at the OW site (4 attempts) but was refused access. A different reason each time. 1.  Password had expired  2. Faulty name or
password  3. Did not know me  4. A repeat of 1.

Do I have to start again ?

Gordon.

I am able to log in, but the system is extremely slow.

If it still doesn't work when you come back, try clicking on "Forgotten your username or password" (see attachment).
You can keep your user name. I don't know if you have to change the password or not.

Keep us posted!

I can't log in either. It's not just OW.
No error message appears; just Connecting ... ... ... ...

On Twitter, The Zooniverse is reporting that there are problems today.
They hope to get things back to normal soon.

Sorry, but I am having a severe dose of conscience. For the past few days we have been talking about various subjects without me contributing
anything to your transcription project, but worse , a couple of my projects have been forgotten.  So, I am going to disappear for a few weeks, while
a Windows Access programme is rewritten in Filemaker to run on Macs for the local Vicar, and I write a Power Point training session about GPS for the  Coastguard. These two jobs were put aside because OW seemed much more interesting. Will probably be ex-communicated, then keel-hauled if
I do not get A into G and finish them.

Sorry team, I am deserting ship. Will re-enlist towards the end of March, and please no Press-gang tactics.

Sadly,
TuxfordC.

I can't log in either. It's not just OW.

Starting to shake, having cold sweat, other withdrawal signs?
Perhaps it's time to set-up OWA - Old Weather Anonymous?  ;D

I had to log in to MoonZoo, but then I didn't have any problems getting to Crater Survey.

OW is still VERY slow, but I do get to a page to transcribe (not willing to risk transcribing though!).

A couple of hours ago my computer uploaded Old Weather home page: it was moving :)
When I clicked on Vessels everything disappeared :(
Nothing new at the moment.

No withdrawal symptoms at the moment, unless a slight migraine which could be a prodromal feature.

Me, too.  Quite gone, but some 3 hours ago they started working on it in the UK - according to their @zooniverse Twitter.  The general Zooniverse Home Page opens fine, some of the zoos like Cancer open the sign-in immediately, others like OW don't.

Patience, Janet.  Learn patience!

I was just allowed to get into Patterson transcription.  Others check, they may have fixed the problem.
