There is no indication of who the party of passengers were that were picked up at Yakutat village on 30th for Sitka.

E.B. Latham is mentioned in this report on earthquakes in Alaska in 1899, seemingly being involved in coast surveying work.

There's also mentions of an M Donaher or M E Donaher in this list of newspaper mentions, and I think the mentions of him and his companions point to him being a prospector.

A quick bit of googling for the others either brings up nothing relevant, or their names are far too common (lots of N McCarthys out there!).
