Animals - including hunted ones?
« on: July 11, 2014, 11:41:34 pm »
I've recently come across a couple of mentions of animals that were caught for food, e.g. a hunting party brought back six deer. It seems unlikely that these six deer would have been together in a single group originally, so it might not be very representative of the actual situation in the wild - however, it does still show the extent of the animal's natural range, so I would guess that the information is still wanted?

You have a good point, but I think it is still useful information.
If researchers want more information they can look at that page.
And, I will add a "context field" (in addition to a "time/watch field" - not that that would be helpful in this case) request to my list for Santa Philip ;)

For sure, they are observed animals for the transcription fields.  Just observed closer than most.  :)
