HMS Roxburgh, US to UK, 6.30am: Convoy commenced zigzag; 9am: Convoy closed to columns 3 cables apart, ships in column 2 cables;
4pm: Ceased zigzag; convoy opened out; 11pm: Exceptional display of Aurora Borealis

6.35am: Observed fire on American oiler Wico; 6.55am: Wico reported fire under control
