Thanks for the congratulations, everybody!
Love the picture, Randi (but my computer is fine)

Congratulations Hanibal!  You're creeping up on lollia ....

Why yes, I am indeed. My average daily contribution is bigger than hers... I wonder if I can beat her to the 500.000 mark?

Mmm, I'm afraid your table is incorrect.
On average it takes me 3 to 4 minutes to transcribe a weather reports page.
On average it takes me 20 to 25 minutes to transcribe an events page.

Lets be pessimistic: 95802 * 20 / 4 = 479010 points
That puts me on top, not in sixth position. ;D 8)

Well done, Hanibal. It's a great achievement.
But don't forget Lollia's five (I think) edited logs.  ;)

Edited logs cannot be counted either. The data scraper needs cold hard numbers.
Besides, with the editing, the amount of work done per page or per month of logs varies a LOT, depending on the amount of content and the handwriting.
The work it takes to make a WR, on the other hand, generally stays the same - there are some exceptions, but the vast majority of WR take roughly the same amount of time.

Plus, my scraper doesn't count Joan's penguins, or my 50.000+ Cell Slider transcriptions.
You gotta draw the line somewhere - and I have chosen to draw it at the number of WR. Nothing else is counted - because nothing else can be counted by my tool.

However, I have updated my program to add this statement below the table, starting with tonight's daily update:

Quote
- This table only counts the number of WR, not the number of events, edited ship histories, or anything else. Those are also worth the time and effort, but cannot be counted by the data scraper and are therefore not included here.

:D I think we've all got other bits of Zooniverse that we dabble in....the best dinner plates have a mixture of fine foods to sup upon don't they? It might be a mix of Zooniverse projects. It might be a few different OW ships. It might be that the different events of every day onboard one ship is a happy enough mix.
But one thing's for sure, all our efforts are furthering important science in some way. What we need is for more people to join in the party (or did I mean this Pantheon of the Gods?).  :D :D :D

This is a good idea. Thanks Hanibal.

And just remember, Hanibal, not to damage your hand by trying to get to the top of the list.  :)
