Also well done from Stuart.

(where do you get these numbers from?)

I didn't think I'd hit that mark until September, so it's somewhat of a surprise  ;D, especially since I've slowed down on Yorktown  ::).

(where do you get these numbers from?)

I have a Java program that does all the work. It gathers the scores and names of the top 12 for each ship, along with the % complete
One part of the program gathers this data for the complete ships. This is only run when a ship is completed, as that's the only time the data changes.
The other part goes through all the active ships, gathers the data for them and uses it, along with the locally saved data for the completed ships, to calculate:

- How many WR have been transcribed for each ship
- How many WR each ship has in total (only different from the first for the active ships)
- The total number of transcribed WR on all active ships
- The total number of transcribed WR on all completed ships
- The sum of these two totals
- The top 100 transcribers by WR

Then I simply copy-paste the info over to here and to the Guestimations topic.
I intend to keep doing this until all the Classic ships are done.
No idea if I will update my program for the new interface - to be honest, I doubt it will have anything to count.

I think you are right there.
Roughly how many of us are left actively transcribing in OW (classic and new)?

6 to 8 are working on classic OW3. I'm working on calculating ice locations (40 years worth done, lots staring me from a long list). Not sure about whaling, but there are two that I know of for sure, and maybe more. A couple of people are testing the Spreadsheet version for Bob. There are a few people searching new ships for likely ice situations. Several people editing completed vessels, but I know not the number.

Whalers - me and Joke Slayer essentially. Ed popped by for a quick dib but is now sorting the Fort William and Ben Nevis weather logs elsewhere on the Zooniverse.

Any one else wanting to come and play at Whalers - let me know :D

I'm also testing out the Bob's Ice Hunting spreadsheet system - which is very cool  :D

I'm unreliably working on ice hunting and may jump onto a ship to finish up classic. With a 1 and 3 year old, when I need to (and have time to) void my brain I find that cyclonecenter.org works great on my phone in a dimly lit room with a baby falling asleep on my lap.
