I'll have a look at this. Are we not doing 1918?

This log set starts with 1918. It runs Jan 1918 to Jan 1920.

The current status of these two ships is:
Bear 1884, 1891-1912 & 1918 completed - leaving 1914, 1917, 1919-1927 (Greenland Patrol to follow with the trawlers etc.)
Bear 1913 and 1915 are currently on OW5

It wouldn't hurt to hunt for sea ice in 1918, but another ship-year might be a better choice :-\

FYI - The rest of 1920 was checked out in 1953. Mark is trying to track it down...

I had a quick look at a few pages in 1918 and they seem to go up North. I'll go for 1919 for now.

6th August
Quote
By order of the Commanding Officer placed C.H E.E. Harding in the Ship's prison for a period of five days, on bread and water with a full ration every third day, for conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline. Viz.- complaining about pie at the mess table in a defiant, boisterous way, and throwing a piece of pie at one of the crew, seated opposite him at the table.

I would have served him the pie for five days instead of bread and water.  ;)
