Welcome to Bear (1923) and a new phase of Old Weather.

As before, this topic is for asking questions and sharing information.
Now it will also be used to help coordinate transcriptions as we develop the new system.

Thanks Bob - although it'll be a quick list if we don't get fixed up and out of Oakland California  ::)  ;)

It's March and everything has been stripped and painted/varnished on that ship, to within an inch of its life. But we've seen nothing of the high seas, let alone any ice. Oh well...  ::) ;) :)

Much too much I suspect.

I would only worry about days when ice was recorded.
Even then, I would probably only do date and noon location, and maybe the ice descriptions, until we know more about what is needed.

I believe that the current plan is to use Bob's system to transcribe the pages with ice :-\
