Dyxmuth

I got my degree(s) at the University of Cincinnati (Ohio).  There is a residential street nearby called Dyxmuth Avenue.  The story is that the City does not allow streets to be named after people still living.  But someone wanted to honor a fellow by the name of Dick Smith, and this was the way they got around it.

If the Iazyges left any literature or history, it probably needs the intervention of an

annotator

ORLOP
The lowest deck, formerly called "over-lop," consisting of a platform laid over the beams in the hold of ships of war, whereon the cables were usually coiled, and containing some cabins as well as the chief store-rooms. In trading vessels it is often a temporary deck.
