Sometimes I find just switching to another program window, like Excel, Word, iTunes etc, and going back will fix things. Not always, but it is quick to try, and you've nothing to lose, and a lot of time and frustration to save...

finally finished the page and the next one was normal, as is the one after that (so far).  And here I was honing my technique on getting the skinny boxes to pop up.

so a mystery as to why that one page decided to misbehave.

Thanks leelaht - which ship are you working on please? Any would you be able to recall which browser you were using and which you changed to ?
 :)

Please - if any of you has a clue as to what might be going on or can see a pattern could you pop a note in here please? Otherwise I think it's time to hand this over to the  IT expert/s to see if they can divine what's going on and hopefully effect a fix  :)

Thanks leelaht and propriome :)  I wonder if the spirits of the ships know how much you folks love them?  ;) :D

Please keep recording problems here for the meanwhile everyone. I'll use the details so far to help the IT experts to try and find out what's afoot :)

I wonder if this is a beneficent sprite looking after us by making us take a break now and then - a chance to move around, drink tea, pat the cat, hug the dog etc etc ;)

Chrome and Albatross 1890 is doing it again.  Can't click a box in, have to redraw it every time.  So switched to firefox.

This doesn't work right now (9:30am EST):

https://classic.oldweather.org/transcribe/

But this does:

https://classic.oldweather.org/

Then I can get to Transcribe through the ship selection menus.
